CONFLICT COACHING

Managing workplace conflict? Who's supporting you?

Whether you are in dispute with somebody in your organisation, or expected to assist employees who are in dispute; dealing with this can be a daunting task, if you are not competent.

Conflict Coaching (utlising the CINERGY™ model) is a revolutionary process designed to assist and support you to develop vital practical skills in managing conflictat a local level, to prevent potential conflict, address disrespectful behaviour such as bullying and harassment, as well as assisting others to resolve their dispute.

Early intervention is highly beneficial, to prevent a situation from escalating to a level that is far more difficult to manage.

An InterMEDIATE Dispute Management Conflict Coach will work with you confidentially; either by phone or face to face, on a one to one basis, according to your needs, to help prepare you for challenging discussions; assisting you to identify, clarify and focus on your individual goals, encourage, provide feedback and support the development of your conflict resolution capabilities.

A voluntary process, Conflict Coaching is not therapy, nor is it advocacy or counselling. Conflict coaching is a cutting edge and structured, highly effective process which encourages greater self awareness, accurate self assessment and builds self confidence, allowing you to deal with difficult situations efficently, effectively and competently. There will always be times when even the most competent conflict handling managers need to employ mediators, for an independent, confidential and unbiased process.

MEDIATION COACHING

Mediators do not provide advice to parties in mediation. This is basic to the integrity of the process, allows parties to take responsibility for the resolution of their dispute, to really explore options that best suit them, and to craft robust agreements that are in the best interests of the parties. When parenting of children is involved, mediators have a responsibility to ensure agreements are in their best interests.

Mediation coaching assists in areas that are beyond the scope of mediators.

The mediation process addresses inequity to a certain level, however many people are daunted by the prospect of facing an opponent in mediation and attempting a tough negotiation with someone who they may perceive as more hostile, competitive or powerful.

Like anything else in life, to do something really well, we need to learn and to practice. InterMEDIATE Dispute Management's experienced coaches will assist you in important preparation for the mediation process, help you to conduct an analysis of the current situation, aid you in ways to reduce the conflict and empower you in your quest to negotiate a fair and lasting agreement.
