There are more than 200 models of mediation. Mediation, as taught in universities and other educational spheres, is a structured process, facilitated by one or two mediators (usually male and female) in a co-mediation process. Parties are assisted to peacefully yet effectively communicate, identify, explore and discuss their issues, consider new options, negotiate and resolve their disputes cooperatively.
