Learn how to communicate effectively and get what you need, even in difficult situations, without losing self control.
Most of us have been taught from a young age that in a challenging dispute, we have two options - flight or fight. Black or white. Yes or no. Well, that may have been fine for our inarticulate cave dwelling ancestors being chased by marauding tribesmen from the neighbouring village, but in our society it is more appropriate to develop and consider a number of peaceful options, that will allow us really to benefit from each of our experiences.
InterMEDIATE Dispute Management Pty Ltd recognises that although mediation is great for those who wish to resolve their issues peacefully, some people need more help to manage their emotions and reactions in challenging situations to live a stable, happy life relating to others.
Couples, adolescents, families, colleagues and peers may have such limited conflict resolution skills that living in harmony seems impossible.
CONFLICT and COMMUNICATION COACHING is available at many levels:
H.A.S.S.L.E.S to SOLUTIONS® is a registered program developed by Jean-Marcel Malliaté, and is a structured educational and experiential approach to learning how to respond rather than react to conflict. This can reward the individual with a lifetime of better negotiated outcomes and well being. H.A.S.S.L.E.S to SOLUTIONS® can be delivered as a one day workshop to school students, parents, teachers and in the workplace.

Community Groups often recognise the immense value in improving communication and conflict management for members to enable effective management and to improve the lives of all individuals within the group.

MEDIATION COACHING
Mediators are not allowed to give advice. This is basic to the integrity of the process, allows parties to take responsibility for the resolution of their dispute, to really explore options that best suit them, and to craft robust agreements that are in the best interests of the parties. When ever children are involved, mediators have a responsibility to ensure agreements are in their best interests.
Mediation coaching assists in areas that are beyond the scope of mediators.
The mediation process addresses inequity to a certain level, however many people are daunted by the prospect of facing an opponent in mediation and attempting a tough negotiation with someone who they may perceive as more hostile, competitive or powerful.
Like anything else in life, to do something really well, we need to learn and to practice. InterMEDIATE Dispute Management's experienced coaches will assist you in important preparation for the mediation process, help you to conduct an analysis of the current situation, aid you in ways to reduce the conflict and empower you in your quest to negotiate a fair and lasting agreement.
Mediation coaching will teach you some useful communication techniques to help you articulate your needs and interests, and give you a chance to consider, before mediation, what you can do to best ensure success of the mediation.
